MapR M7 provides ease of use, dependability and performance advantages for NoSQL and Apache Hadoop™ applications. Apache HBase is a key-value based NoSQL database solution that is built on top of Hadoop. MapR M7’s architecture is specifically designed to optimize the storage and processing of files as well as tables within a unified platform.
MapR Training Academy now offers “Introduction to MapR M7 and HBase Programming for Developers” which is targeted for Java Developers interested in learning about HBase application development. This 3-Day course introduces the MapR & HBase architecture, the HBase data model, and the most important APIs for writing programs. The course also introduces schema design, performance tuning, bulk-loading of data, and storing complex data structures. Hands-on lab exercises give students practice writing HBase programs and running them on a MapR M7 cluster.
