Fireworks from the July 4th holiday seem like a distant memory, but the virtual fireworks continue to spark (pun intended) within the MapR partner ecosystem. A new sandbox from Talend for the MapR Distribution, the successful launch of our App Gallery, and support of expansion for Apache Spark with partners like Databricks show great momentum with our technology partners. In addition to more tools geared specifically for MapR, our pool of experts also continues to grow.

This morning, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a new partnership with MapR Technologies. As a major systems integrator, TCS brings tremendous expertise and reach that will help expand our presence around the world. We’re excited to share this news with you because it signifies the enterprise readiness that MapR represents. Partners choose to work with us because we are the leading Hadoop platform that companies rely on to support mission-critical use cases for big data deployments.

TCS excels in delivering real results for global businesses, and continues to innovate with new solutions for emerging industries such as sensor data analytics. Hadoop creates the opportunity to cost-effectively manage massive amounts of sensor data to enable more efficient business operations. Smart grids, telematics, manufacturing, smart buildings and the Internet of Things (IoT) are examples where sensor data is generated and analytics can make a significant impact for businesses.

TCS and MapR are working together to develop turnkey solutions that use Hadoop to manage the volume, velocity and variety of big data. This partnership joins TCS expertise with MapR technology to help enterprise customers easily and rapidly capture critical big data insights.

With the enthusiasm and momentum building around partnerships with leading companies such as with TCS, we anticipate even more fireworks as we continue to build the depth and breadth of our ecosystem.
