Running the bootstrapinstall Utility in the PROMPT_MODE

To bootstrap your Kubernetes environment using the bootstrapinstall utility, do the following on either Mac or Linux OS:

  1. To start the bootstrapping process, go to the bootstrap directory, and run the bootstrapinstall.sh utility from inside the directory:
    cd bootstrap
    ./bootstrapinstall.sh
    Note: You can run the bootstrapinstall utility only on Linux or Mac.
  2. To set up an OpenShift environment, enter yes at the following prompt:
    >>> Installing to an Openshift environment? (yes/no)  [no]:

    If you are not installing on OpenShift, enter no, and proceed to the next step.

  3. To install CSI, enter yes at the following prompt:
    >>> Install MapR CSI driver? (yes/no)  [yes]:
    By default, the CSI driver is installed, and the installation sequence begins. For example:
    Ensuring proper kubernetes configuration...
    Checking kubectl can connect to your kubernetes cluster...
    Looking good... Connected to Kubernetes
    Retrieving node information...
    3 node(s) found, 3 node(s) tagged with the MapR usage tag mapr.com/usenode while 0 node(s) not
    3 node(s) found, 3 node(s) tagged with the MapR usage tag mapr.com/exclusivecluster while 0 node(s) not
    
    Creating Configuration Namespace...

    After the operators are created, a message confirms the installation status:
