Open Source Commitment
MapR supports a broad set of Hadoop ecosystem projects, including the complete Apache SparkTM stack, YARN, Apache Drill, Impala, and more. Additionally, MapR packages the broadest set of Apache Hadoop projects and includes support for earlier versions of software. The company spearheads the development of key open source projects where it can provide innovative capabilities to the community. In addition, the MapR commitment to open source extends beyond Hadoop to other open industry standards such as POSIX and NFS. MapR Converged Community Edition
is a free edition of the MapR Platform for internal testing use per the MapR End User License Agreement, with community forum support. MapR Community Edition includes Hadoop, Spark, MapR-DB, MapR Streams, and MapR-FS.

MapR Converged Enterprise Edition
is a commercially-supported edition of the MapR Platform which includes MapR Platform Services for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) and provides MapR Premium Support. Flexible pack- ages are available, so you can choose one or more MapR Modules for Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, MapR-DB, and MapR Streams, as well as other add-ons for Apache Drill, Apache HBase, Apache Solr, MapR POSIX Client, and more.
